Cancellations & Rescheduling

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a session.

Sessions cancelled with less notice may be forfeited.

Training Approach & Expectations

Training is delivered using reward-based, behaviour-informed methods.

Behaviour change depends on many factors, including environment, consistency, and follow-through outside of sessions. Results cannot be guaranteed.

My role is to provide guidance, structure, and clear training plans. Client participation and implementation are essential to progress.

Safety & Responsibility

Clients are responsible for safely managing their dog during and between sessions, including the use of recommended equipment and protocols.

Christine’s Canine Consulting is not liable for injury, loss, or damages resulting from participation in training, including group sessions, or failure to follow provided guidance.

Group Classes & Meetups

Focus & Function Meetups are small-group training sessions held in public outdoor locations.

Locations may vary each week and will be shared at the time of booking.

These are structured training sessions, not off-leash or free-play environments. Dogs work at their own pace with space, movement, and guidance.

Participation Requirements

  • Dogs must be comfortable working around other dogs at a distance

  • Dogs must remain on leash unless otherwise instructed

  • Handlers are responsible for maintaining appropriate space and following instructions during the session

Safety & Liability

Participation in group sessions involves inherent risk when working around other dogs, people, and public environments.

By attending, clients accept responsibility for their dog’s behaviour and agree to follow all handling and safety guidelines provided.

Christine’s Canine Consulting is not liable for injury, loss, or damages resulting from participation in group sessions or failure to follow instructions.

Terms & Conditions

The following Terms & Conditions form part of the agreement between you and Christine's Canine Consulting and apply to all services unless otherwise stated. By booking, purchasing, paying for, or participating in services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

By booking, purchasing, accessing, participating in, or using any services, programs, consultations, memberships, communities, events, or educational materials provided by Christine's Canine Consulting (collectively, the "Services"), you acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating in dog-related activities with knowledge of the inherent risks involved.

You represent that you are the owner or authorized guardian of the dog(s) participating in, or affected by, the Services. You acknowledge that dogs are living animals with their own instincts, motivations, and behaviours, and that regardless of training, handling, management, or environmental circumstances, Christine's Canine Consulting cannot eliminate all risks of injury, harm, illness, property damage, or other loss to you, your dog, other people, other animals, or property. Such risks include, but are not limited to, dog bites, defensive or fearful behaviour, injuries, property damage, and other incidents that may occur during or as a result of participating in the Services or implementing any recommendations provided by Christine's Canine Consulting.

By participating in the Services, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation and the handling, management, and care of your dog.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Services, you, on behalf of yourself and your heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, and assigns (collectively, the "Releasors"), release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Christine's Canine Consulting, its owners, employees, contractors, agents, volunteers, representatives, successors, and assigns (collectively, the "Releasees") from any claims, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from or related to your participation in the Services, including injury, death, or property damage to you, your dog, accompanying persons (including minor children), or third parties, even where such claims arise from the negligence of the Releasees.

Nothing in this Agreement releases Christine's Canine Consulting from liability arising from intentional, reckless, or willful misconduct where such liability cannot legally be excluded.

INDEMNIFICATION

You remain responsible at all times for your own conduct, the conduct of your dog, and the conduct of any persons accompanying you, including minor children. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Christine's Canine Consulting and its personnel from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from the acts or omissions of you, your dog, or anyone accompanying you, including claims arising from your implementation of training or behaviour recommendations provided by Christine's Canine Consulting.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

Upon request, you agree to provide a veterinary certificate or other veterinary documentation confirming that your dog is healthy, has received appropriate veterinary examinations, and meets the health requirements necessary to participate in the applicable Services.

You are responsible for ensuring that your dog meets any vaccination, titre, parasite prevention, or other health requirements applicable to the Services. You acknowledge that no vaccination or preventative healthcare measure can eliminate all risk of disease or infection, and that dogs may still contract or transmit infectious diseases despite appropriate preventative care.

NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS

You acknowledge that your participation and consistency are essential to your dog's progress. While Christine's Canine Consulting will make reasonable efforts to assist you, no guarantee is made regarding any specific training or behaviour outcome. Recommendations for third-party products or services are provided for convenience only and do not constitute an endorsement or guarantee.

SAVINGS CLAUSE

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

KNOWING AND VOLUNTARY EXECUTION

By booking, purchasing, accessing, or participating in the Services and indicating your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, you declare that you are at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into this Agreement.

You acknowledge that you have carefully read this Agreement, understand its contents, and voluntarily agree to be bound by its terms. You specifically understand that this Agreement includes an assumption of the risks associated with participating in dog-related activities, including risks arising from the negligence of Christine's Canine Consulting, and a release of liability to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

MEDIA PERMISSION (OPTIONAL)
